Truman Leo Howell, Jr., 56, passed away on October 26, 2021. He was born on March 21, 1965, in Denison, Texas, to parents Truman Leo Howell, Sr. and Margie Bernadette Alonzo Howell.
He is known better to his friends and family as Leo. This avid Dallas Cowboy football fan had many talents and hobbies that included spending time with family and friends. He was always proud of his Little League Football team. Each player was loved dearly! Dirt track racing was another love of Leo’s, racing several seasons and even obtaining Track Champion! Leo never met a stranger, and he was always ready to help or mentor any person in need! Family was extremely important, and with determination and diligence, Leo was able to maintain a beautiful relationship with every one of his family members. This man will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him!
Leo is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tonya Howell; children Richard Howell and wife Taylor, Destiny Howell, and Samantha Howell and fiancé Will Sanchez; grandchildren Johnathan Welch, Evelyn Howell, LuuLuu Howell, and Paris Howell; brothers Randy Howell, Jerrold Howell, Bradley Howell, and Richard Howell; brother-in-law Monte Cook; sister-in-laws Sara Cook and Wendy Howell; nephews JC Howell, Keith Howell, Dakota Howell, Bryan Monroe, Michael Cook, Justin Cook, and Aaron Cook; nieces Erin Monroe, Bradie Howell, and Kirstin Howell; and in-laws Jim and Phyllis Garner.
He is preceded in death by his parents Truman Leo Howell, Sr. and Margie Bernadette Alonzo Howell; father-in-law Lannis “Jack” Cook; brother-in-law Duain Cook.
