Linda Lee Cox, 69, was born on February 18th, 1952, in Oregon City, OR, to Cecil Dean and Barbara June Kelsay. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend moved into the next life on July 20th, 2021. She was raised in Oregon and Washington. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1970 and continued on to attend Clackamas State College. She had a heart of gold and was a very strong-willed human that would never go down without a fight, even to the very end. Not only was Linda a very hard worker, she was also a very charitable, kind, and loving woman. She brought a lot and put more into this world than what she was given. With Linda’s love, devotion, caring, kind, and compassionate fiery spirit, she was married to her life partner and best friend for almost 50 years and together raising their daughter.
There was nothing more that Linda enjoyed doing than reading paranormal romance or supernatural genre books. A second favorite pastime was playing Sims Busting Out on Play Station Two. Her favorite part of the game was chasing the characters, designing the houses, and creating the graveyards. Lastly, her third favorite pastime was watching her Oogie-boogie spook shows. Some of Linda’s favorites include “Charmed, Buffy, and NCIS.” She adored and loved animals and watching the hummingbirds around her garden. Her horses of years ago, Buster and Bombie, gave her great enjoyment and precious memories. Tub Tub, her favorite happy Pitbull puppy, was truly one of her favorites that would melt her heart.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Kelsay, father Cecil Kelsay, brother Ronnie Kelsay, and sister Tammi Vanlandingham. She is loved and missed by her husband, Derald Cox, daughter Crystal Cox, son-in-law Kiel Ostaszewski, her four adopted daughters, eight adopted grandchildren, and three grandpuppies. She is survived by her four brothers, one sister, many nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Bro. Ed Shauer with First Church of the Nazarene will officiate for the Cox family.
