If pictures could only speak, we would never stop talking.  A man is often measured by the people who love him.  If that is so, we can promise you that this man was bigger than the ocean itself. Our love for him is immeasurable. He was a son, husband, daddy, grandpa, brother, Uncle Butch, friend, protector, comforter, and a constant source of hilarity. Sometimes his wisdom would surprise you with its simplicity. He was straightforward, never held back, quick to jump in and guard your back with ferocity. He did what he wanted to do when he wanted to do it. We can all be pretty sure where he is at this very moment. He is on an old pier called 'The Dirty Pelican’ with all of his loved ones who have gone before him. And all of us still here on this side of life, well, we're all waiting patiently to join the party, waiting to watch the sunset over the gulf with a beautiful red and orange glow, waiting to hear them all say, "Welcome home.”
